Last night, we got together to say our final goodbyes to Mike's parents before they left on an early flight this morning - off to south africa for the next 23 months as missionaries. It was really neat to see the excitement they have to share the gospel, there were quite a few tears and lots of hugs but we know that time will pass quickly and the people of Durban will be blessed to have such a caring and strong couple to teach them the gospel. We are grateful for their wonderful example and sacrifice and wish them the best of luck!
We love you!

They are good people. Poor Adi. She's had to tell a lot of people goodbye in the last week!
tender.
ya, i'd say: that's a lot of goodbyes this week...for you & your cute kiddos!
i've already told my parents they can't go on a mission, unless they are planning on taking me. {jk, sort of, but not really.}
My grandparents went on several missions when I was a kid and I have to say that the best part about it was all of the fun souveneirs they would bring back from each mission. I'm sure Mike's parents will have lots of fun stuff to bring home for your kids from Africa!
Good thing you have this blog so they can check in on what you guys are up to along with all the phone calls, emails and letters. Any chance you guys can go visit them while they are gone? Well wish them good luck, I'm sure they will be great missionaries!
Wow! That has to be hard for your kids...but what an awesome place to serve a mission. Best of luck to them!
