Who says boys have no use for scrapbook supplies?

She's growing up...

...and while I love having the extra help around the house,
seeing how smart she is getting,
and all the fun conversations this age brings...
Moments like this,
(the dress up hat around her eyes)
are proof, that no matter how hard she's trying to grow up,
that she's still my little girl.

Mismatched

Tonight I have a date with my hubby...
we're going out to celebrate my brothers birthday!
Happy 29th birthday, Chaddy!

I must admit I am a little worried...
This is Mike on our last date,
in the parking lot, after the movie...

Need a closer look?
Yes, apparently he was in a hurry.

Hey Jayne! Looky what we found...

I believe your request was for
FUN,
FREE,
and WATER...
We'll throw in CLOSE too!
{Highland - road between Wendy's & Kohler's, yes, there's a road there - ProMIse!}

The kids have been begging to go to the "water" park ever since Grandma told us about it last week.

Today we found it and couldn't have been happier to cool off in the 100 degree weather we have been so blessed with! :)

Apparently, the cool thing to do is sit/stand/lay on the water spouts and wait...

...because eventually they come on and you get something like this.

Looks fun, huh!?!
So...who's free next week?

Jameson Square Park

While in Portland we went looking for a way to waste away the afternoon and enjoy the city. Someone at our hotel suggested we hit up this park that was lots of fun for the kids, especially in the beautiful weather, because it had water. We packed swimsuits {just in case} but upon getting there it didn't look like much. So, we just kicked off the flip flops and hiked up the shorts...

And then the water came crashing down the giant steps...

And filled into a GIANT pool...Dad might have offered Luke (with not-quite-healed stitches) $5 to lay down and get completely wet.
And once the clothes are wet why bother changing, right?

So we stayed while it drained and filled again, and again, and again, and again...completely soaked and loving every minute!

Until Uncle Daniel spotted this self taught professional....

Now doesn't he just scream kid friendly?

And although they weren't thrilled to get a picture with the balloon maker - they couldn't have been happier with their treasures! Perfect ending to our day in the park!
