President Monson

I just wanted to quickly say just how awesome it was to be a part of sustaining this wonderful man as the new prophet of our church today. I had chills as I got to stand and raise my hand in support of him and tears when my sweet daughter asked if it was her turn to stand up yet. So touching to see her arm shoot into the air. Happy uplifting weekend!

Thanks for the post. I felt the same way about the solemn assembly. It was the best to have all my children there and willing to participate on their own. l am sure it is a feeling they won't soon forget. I know I won't.

Thanks for the conference packet, Caitlyn loved them but was really worried that she didn't get to color everyone's tie. I told her it was okay, not everyone spoke but she's afraid that you won't "accept" her "homework" and she won't get a treat! :)

I agree. Thanks for reminding me how wonderful our new prophet is.

By the way, thanks for the comments on my blog. They put a smile on my face. You're awesome in the most 80's sense of the word. :)

Wasn't it neat to see the shift of the "mantle". I think he did a great job, I loved hearing about his little jokes about the things his wife said or did. Like the note she left when she had surgery about him not being able to touch the microwave or the dish washer, etc...
