Spring

My hubby is a firm believer in waiting until Mother's Day to plant flowers.
His dad has given his mom a gift certificate on Mother's Day to pick out her flowers for as long as he can remember.
Good rule of thumb to follow.
Although, last fall when my pansies were still alive when the rest of the world was freezing, my friend, Mike informed me that contradictory to what most think - pansies are strong.
His mom taught him that when he was a kid.
She's a gardener.
I trust Mike, his mom too.

So, in celebration of the First Day of Spring I bought the beautiful orange and purple pansies at Walmart today and we had a planting party.

Ads did the digging.

Paiz did the water.

Luke scooped the dirt.

It was fabulous.
We now have a little color to remind us it is SPRING.
And if there is a little more Lion than Lamb left in the upcoming weeks - I am out $10 and we start over come Mother's Day. Until then,
Happy Spring!

I'm so impressed you know how to do any of that. I haven't figured out anything here but thank to Stephanie (above) at least I know when I have to think about it!

Happy Spring indeed! Do you have a traveling planting service? If so, sign me up. :)

I planted some last October, I crossed my fingers that they would come back up this spring and sure enough they have. They have lasted though all the random snows too.

I'm sure they will make it!!

You are a fun mom!!
